Support

Welcome to My Personal Page

I need your support

This October, I will be participating in the Baltimore Running Festival to raise money for the Kennedy Krieger Institute.  Internationally recognized for improving the lives of adults, children and adolescents with disorders and injuries of the brain, spinal cord and musculoskeletal system, the Kennedy Krieger Institute (out patient center of John Hopkins Hospital) in Baltimore, MD serves more than 18,500 individuals each year through inpatient and outpatient clinics, home and community services and school-based programs.  Kennedy Krieger provides a wide range of services for individuals with developmental concerns mild to severe, and is home to a team of investigators who are contributing to the understanding of how disorders develop while pioneering new interventions and earlier diagnosis.  The medical and physical therapy departments have been very instrumental with my progression since my paralysis and I will be eternally grateful to them.

My goal is to walk the 5K and I appreciate your support as I participate in this amazing fundraising opportunity.

About the Kennedy Krieger Institute Running Festival Team

The funds raised from the Kennedy Krieger Institute Baltimore Running Festival team will support Kennedy Krieger's International Center for Spinal Cord Injury, where aggressive, innovative therapies help patients with spinal cord injuries recover. In addition, funds will support the training needs of patients with disabilities who participate in the event, through the purchase of adapted racing, training and therapy equipment. Recreational activities are often overlooked for individuals with disabilities, but Kennedy Krieger recognizes the important benefits of exercise for our patients, including improved health, self-esteem, social connections, and community reintegration.

With this charity team, we aim to increase the number of Kennedy Krieger patients who are able to participate in the races each year, open the door to improved physical fitness for those with disabilities, and fund research towards a cure for paralysis. Thank you for sharing our vision!
